A print of one of my paper molas design inspired by molas, a textile art form from the Guna Indians from Panama and Colombia. The Pollera and Camisilla Santeña are Panama's national outfit, worn on special occasions and during dance festivals. The Pollera is the gown worn by the women and the girls and the Camisilla Santeña is worn by the men and the boys.
This print would make a unique gift for someone who loves Panama or likes to collect Panamanian art (or Latin American art in general). It is also great for those who love colorful and bold artwork that will definitely brighten up any space with splashes of color. The print looks amazing framed in a shadow box or matted with a burlap pattern behind it (my favorite way!).
★ A proof will be sent via email to show the chosen last name as written by the customer in the order. Please make sure the spelling is correct.
★ The background color and the Pollera accents can be customized based on taste, with a quick turnaround time at no extra charge. You can also customize the skin colors (see picture with 5 different skin tones). Please leave me a note at checkout. The default brown background colors will change for skin tone 5 to a tan color (see the picture). Prior to printing, I will send a proof via Etsy conversation for approval. Default colors (shown in the main picture) will be shipped if no requests are made.
★ Please be aware that I will not be able to ship until the proof is approved. If I don't hear from the buyer after 24 hours of sending the proof, I will send the same message via email. After 3 days of no response, I will extend the shipping date to a week to allow time for the buyer to approve the proof.
Shipped with a 4mm backing and wrapped in a cellophane bag for protection. The backing board can be reused as a mat for a smaller picture or artwork.
